В коррекции этого фактора риска большое значение имеют не только немедикаментозные мероприятия, но и холестерин-снижающие медикаменты. Наиболее эффективными и безопасными признаются сегодня статины. Однако у некоторых больных их эффект в максимальных дозах недостаточен или сопровождается побочными эффектами. В настоящее время проходят клинические испытания несколько новых классов медикаментов: ингибиторы белка-переносчика эфиров холестерина, блокаторы синтеза апопротеина В, производные тиреоидных гормонов, разрабатываются иммунологические пути вмешательства, в частности, с помощью моноклональных антител.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>   Dyslipidemia is one of the leading risk factors for atherosclerosis-associated cardiovascular disease, along with hypertension and smoking. Not only non-drug measures have great importance in the correction of this risk factor, but also cholesterol-lowering medicines. Now the statins are recognized as the most effective and safe. However, its effect of the maximum dose is insufficient or accompanied by side effects in some patients.
